Monaco's a dwarf-state, occupying a 1.95 square km area...Although it's a sovereign state, it's closely related to France, and since 1949 it has been ruled by Prince Rainier III. He was the one to transform Monaco in a well-groomed territory, very chic and mighty extravagant. Before this action-taker prince, The Principaute de Monaco was ruled mostly by the Grimaldi family, in charge from 1297.
